We got up at about 6:30 AM, and hit the road by 7 - it's easier riding in the cool morning air than later in the day, we had found. We made it to Oklahoma City for lunch, and stopped to get out of the heat at the National Cowboy Museum.
After the museum, we rode on until about 8p, when we stopped at Amarillo, Texas, and got dinner at The Waffle House.
