We rode to Bandelier National Monument in the morning. I still don't really know what the difference between a National Park and a National Monument is, but the same pass works at both, so we got the pass. We hiked around the park for a good few hours, climbing up many ladders to see the cliff dwellings.
It started to storm down rain as we were leaving, so we rode to Los Alamos, and waited out the storm in their history museum, looking at relics of World War 2 research. When the rain stopped, we checked the map and took the scenic route (285-84-96-550) through the hills north of Santa Fe, back around to Albequerqe, where we stopped for the night.
