Rode to Mesa Verde. We got there at 10, and had our first tour at 11 (all trips into the dwellings must be accompanied by a ranger). We spent the hour doing the tour loop around the cliff. Then we had our tour into Cliff Palace Ruins. Lots of ladders, though the ancient puebloans used tiny toe and finger holds to scale the cliffs. We had a quick lunch and then descended to Balcony House, a smaller dwelling that is nearly invisible from the outside, you get in by scaling down the overhang above it. After leaving the park, we made it to Grand Junction.
